Library news update

From Cheryl:

I wanted to let you know about a couple of things happening at the library.
  1.   The study room 100E is being worked on while the library is closed. We have confirmed with facilities that it is not a health hazard. We are working with them to get signage to inform students about this.
  2. The counseling center has SATURDAY hours! They will be open from 9-1 on Saturdays
  3.   We will be having a small rededication ceremony for the “National Freedom Shrine” that is located on the second floor. I will send out more information as it gets closer.
  4. As students are rushing to fill out their FAFSA applications, remember that we are not to help them with any financial questions. Use common sense when helping students with FAFSA; showing them how to resume their application is OK, while helping them fill out the boxes regarding their financial situation is not OK. Refer them to the financial aid office whenever possible.
  5.  Reminder: please do not give out work schedules to students. You can give them my card or another librarian’s card if they have questions.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Viewing EBSCO eBooks on iPad

FYI, when using iPad, Safari cannot display the PDF eBooks from EBSCO.  Student can use the Chrome browser app and it displays PDF eBooks in Chrome.
